With planning permission for Hope Street secured, the build phase could now begin in earnest. The demolition of existing buildings had been completed and hoardings installed. This was such an exciting milestone and our team are now seeing our founder, Lady Edwina Grosvenor’s pioneering vision start to become a tangible reality.

Sustainability

Our special CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) super structure is currently in manufacture, this will help towards our ambitious aim of achieving a BREEAM Outstanding rating. BREEAM is the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings, which you can read about here. A BREEAM Outstanding Rating is something that only the Top 1% of buildings achieve.

Collaboration

Our team are also working hard to develop the external partnerships and relationships we know will be critical to the success of Hope Street. We are attending meetings across the county with key stakeholders and ensuring we are represented on relevant decision-making forums and groups such as the Reducing Reoffending Board, the Hampshire Women’s Offending Working Group, The Hampshire Senior Housing Officer’s Group and the Homeless Prevention Strategic Pathway.
