Laurie Hunte

Laurie Hunte works for the Barrow Cadbury Trust as its Criminal Justice Programme Manager. Laurie has been instrumental in  developing and maintaining partnerships with Criminal Justice stakeholders (incl. voluntary organisations, academics, government bodies and service users). He curates and convenes T2A (the Transition to Adulthood Alliance) which focuses on 18 to 25 year olds in the justice system.  Laurie says ‘we cannot underestimate the need to understand the experiences of people in the criminal justice system, the work of One Small Thing enables people to move forward with their lives’.

Prior to working for the Trust Laurie was a civil servant for 13 years working for the Ministry of Justice, The Home Office and the Department of Education. Before Laurie’s civil service career he worked for the Foundation for Creative Technology in Liverpool and the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims.
