Rachel Oliver

Rachel joined One Small Thing as Director of Operations and Deputy CEO in August 2020. Rachel leads all of the operational delivery of One Small Thing.

Rachel has over 20 years experience working in the voluntary sector and has worked for national charities, such as vInspired and YoungMinds, as well as smaller, regional organisations in a wide range of roles all focused on improving services and outcomes for children and young people.  Rachel started her career at The Prince’s Trust, working directly with vulnerable young people and supporting the development of residential, mentoring and personal development programmes for care leavers, young people who had been in prison and long term unemployed.  Since then, Rachel has held a range of senior and executive level positions, with responsibilities ranging from service design and delivery to partnership development and income generation - all aimed at improving outcomes for individuals, their communities and wider society. 

Rachel is a Clore Social Fellow (2016), a Windsor Leadership Fellow, Developing Leaders Programme (2015) and is a Fellow of the RSA.
